Andrew J. Paravis, Chairman

Andy ParavisTerm: 2006 to 2012

Andy has lived in the Township for 18 years. He is a Communication Specialist who majored in Political Science.

Most Important Issue: "One of the biggest issues in North Coventry is obviously development. It is the driving force behind my desire to serve North Coventry. Since taking office, I have served as the supervisor liaison for the planning commission. I participated in the three year update of both the comprehensive plan and the Zoning Ordinance in that role. I also serve as the chairman of the Pottstown Metropolitan Regional Planning Commission. This commission is in the process of developing a comprehensive plan between eight municipalities. Once this plan is adopted, it will allow North Coventry and the other townships the flexibility to do even better planning. I also serve as Vice Chairman of the Open Space Review Board. We are in the process of evaluating portions of North Coventry that the citizens chose during the public forum. This plan will soon be complete. One other committee I serve on is a joint effort between Pottstown and North Coventry. The committee is called Reconnections. It is an attempt at making Pottstown Landing and part of downtown Pottstown a strong core. Both communities wish to keep these areas from decay.
We, as a team of supervisors and community volunteers, need to move forward with ideas and strong values so that we can remain a strong township."

Vision: "My vision is a simple one to talk about but a difficult one to implement and then defend: to keep North Coventry a rural township. This can be done by controlling growth through strong planning principals and innovative zoning. We also need to make living in our more developed areas an attractive option."

Message: "The people of North Coventry have agreed for years. They are happy living in North Coventry. They love its rural character. They love the villages and Pottstown Landing. We want to keep it that way. If you have the time and care about North Coventry, come out and participate. There is always room for another volunteer. Or, just attend a meeting and voice your opinion. It's your township. Make it your priority."

Erwin B. Jenschke, Jr (Bud), Vice Chairman

Bud JenschkeTerm: 2004 to 2010

Bud is a Professional Pilot who has lived in the township for 7 years. He has a B.S in Chemical Engineering from Lehigh University and a M.B.A. from Florida Institute of Technology.

Most Important Issues: "First, to anticipate growth and manage it to provide viable economic opportunities, direct growth to appropriate areas to prevent loss of open space and prevent overburdening taxation caused by unnecessary infrastructure improvements and municipal services. Second, to preserve agriculture as a viable occupation. Thirdly, to preserve the ability of the aquifer to provide a safe, clean water supply to the township."

Vision: "Encourage mixed-use growth in existing centers of development. Discourage scattered, unplanned development. Sustain the Townships small town and rural character. Protect open space, agriculture, scenic viewsheds, and environmentally sensitive areas. Coordinate land use planning and zoning with water and sewer facilities planning to ensure adequate infrastructure is provided to areas targeted for growth and not extended to those areas designated for preservation."

Message: "Get involved-- your voice cannot be heard unless you participate. Your active involvement will help provide solutions that benefit all of North Coventry Townships residents!"

E. Kent High

E Kent HighTerm: 2006 to 2012.

Kent was first elected to the Board of Supervisors in 1963. He is a semi retired farmer who has lived in the Township for 80 years.

Most Important Issue: "To keep the Township rural and rustic while having room along the main highways for a limited amount of commercial and industrial development to help pay the taxes."

Vision or Goal: "To cut down on traffic which is the most irritating nuisance in our area."

Message: "This is one of the best Townships in the area. Enjoy- you never had it so good. It is the slowest growing Township in the area."
